THE BOY IN THE YELLOW HAT, by Mike Doig. 

Wednesday 2 December 2015, Cancer Society Kelso Room, Newtown 

80 people gathered at Pataka Museum, Porirua City to celebrate the launch of Mike Doig's collection of whimsical stories: 'The Boy in the Yellow Hat'.  Guest speaker Malcolm Menzies, whose last job was working for the Retirement Commissioner, spoke about the baby boomer generation heading into retirement villages, expecting high standards not only of accommodation but of entertainment. Anne French read one of the stories in the collection about the would-be geriatric gigolo who is outed by Sergeant Maniopoto as a dorkolo.

BLASTED BY SEEDS, by Tom McGrath. 

Thursday 2 July 2015, Cancer Society Kelso Room, Newtown 

30 people gathered at the Cancer Society rooms in Newtown to launch Tom's personal story of undergoing brachytherapy treatment for prostate cancer. The book was launched by John Nacey, Professosr of Urology at Wellington School of Medicine.

YOU'RE TELLING ME! A MEMOIR OF PEG FLEMING, by Robin Fleming with the late Peg Fleming.

Wednesday 5 November 2014, Marsden Books, Karori

About 40 people gathered at Marsden Books in Karori on 5 November to launch Robin's memoir of her mother, Peg Fleming. Professor Charlotte MacDonald's address put the book into a social history context.

The Mahara Gallery author reading happened on Saturday 22 November.

WELLESLEY COLLEGE 100 YEARS ON: A HISTORY 1914–2014 by Bruce Levick

Friday 24 October 2014, Wellesley College, Eastbourne

This was such a special school assembly: THE BOOK launched out into the big wide world on its wobbly little feet; and a beautiful musical tribute to Principal Owen from the boys. It was truly a magical start to the College centenary celebrations.

Friends, supporters and subjects of the book "Fair Weather Trampers - In the New Zealand Bush with the Cock and Bull Tramping Club", written by Julia Millen, illustrated by Barbara O'Reilly, and published by Writes Hill Press, attended the launch held at the Otari-Wilton's Bush visitors centre in Wellington's Wilton suburb on Tuesday 29 November 2011.
